KFC Famous Bowl

I was walking along Greenbelt 1 when I noticed this new item from KFC. It looked good and actually made sense from a foodlovers point of view – layers of fun… mashed potatoes, topped with cheese, corn and chicken (same ones they use for hotshots – but not spicy).

So I went up to the counter and ordered one famous bowl – I think it was about 59 pesos with a regular drink. Anyway, when I got my KFC famous bowl – the first thing that crossed my mind was “This can’t be a bowl – this is more like a cup to me.” I know that you can’t expect much nowadays for 50 bucks but the print ads really did a great job in hiding the actual size of this.

Ok, the size wasn’t as exciting as I hoped it to be – let’s move on to how it tastes… I have to say – no special magic needed. Its exactly what you expect and the flavors did work good together. So its a good SNACK people – not a full meal.

The photo on the left – that’s pushing it. Ha ha ha. You only get like 4 pieces of bite size chicken poppers – and even the corn, which I assume is cheap, was just sprinkled – literally, not generously, sprinkled on top of it. Cheese – at least you could still taste it.

So there, its a good SNACK – not a good meal.
