Today I heard that Francis Magalona is no longer with us. Sad news for all of us. Here’s a short entry in honor of his death.
He was fighting leukemia for the past months or so… chemo and everything. I guess it was time for him to move on.. he’s in a better place now. He died at the age of 44 in Medical City. Today – March 6, 2009.
You can still read the last few updates on his popular multiply account: http://francismagalona.multiply.com/ and his happy battle site: http://happybattle.multiply.com/ He’s immortal now and his words will live on forever – I hope. I wonder, what will happen to his multiply account after a couple of years… The way I see it, it will slowly turn into a digital memorial site where you can post messages in his honor. I never thought about this up until now. Interesting, how your virtual self lives on…
Eraserheads concert will be tomorrow… its sad because I think he had a good relationship with Ely – the vocalist of eraserheads who incidentally is also fighting his own battles to live on… They collaborated on SuperProxy.
Francis M. – You will always be in our hearts. Rest In Peace Man.

death of francis m. is really a shock to everyone especially for us who always see him in television with smile on his face and leaving a remarkable trademark in the philippine tv industry. we will miss the songs, the raps, the patriotism of this guy who showed his respect to our country and to the people as well. francis will not be happy if he will see us sad..so lets just make his memories alive in our daily life..his deeds will always be with us.. francis we will miss you!!!!

You know, to be honest. I kinda expected this to be happening. But it’s not this fast. T.T I’ve been reading his multiply blog when I just happen to stumble upon it. It’s really rare that celebrities blog about their life and what more, it’s Francis M. that’s blogging. So you just gotta read it. That’s where I found out he had Lukemia and even still, he kept on looking at things in an optimistic way. It’s kinda heartbreaking too. I’m not so much of a fan though, since I was way to young to know him at the peak of his career, but at least I know that him and his songs are beautiful.
