Check out hulu.com – I saw this site while watching BBC news this morning. The big boys at NBC Universal and News Corp. were sick and tired of the increasing volume of uploaded clips to youtube and other video sharing sites so they decided to jump on the bandwagon by offering tv shows and movies online for FREE – yes, its free! Revenue will come from inserted ads – which makes sense of course. I just saw an ad from taco bell while watching The Simpsons.
I kid you not! The quality is amazing! I’m now thinking of getting a new pc to connect to my lcd tv to maximize this glorious blessing from the web.
Anyway, a quick tip to my fellow Filipinos and other outsiders from the U.S – they only offer this in the U.S. BUT of course this will not stop us. Here’s what you need – get a free VPN (virtual private network) that gives you a U.S. IP address. Voila! You now have free access to movies and TV shows.
