A familiar sound from our youth. Ten-tenenten-tentenen… Indiana Jones! This is the 4th installment of the 5 originally planned movies. Who knows when the 5th and final installment will come out – but this 4th one definitely sets you up for a 5th one.After seeing the movie, I must say, its not as extraordinary for our time. Maybe because we’ve seen a lot of new concepts and out of this world cinematography in the latest films of this decade. Movies definitely progressed big time especially with the increasing capabilities in 3d technology. What I love from this movie is the fact that Spielberg was able to maintain the pace and quality of the Indiana Jones franchise. You can watch all 4 movies straight and see the continuity in all films.
As expected, our hero was still daring and clever. The addition of a young man with an attitude, played by Shia Labeouf of the successful transformers movie, for me tied the deal to look forward for a 5th installment. You’ll know what I’m talking about after seeing the movie.
What surprised me was that the era for this story was still from the distant past. I guess I never really took notice of it from the previous Indi films. I was hoping that the movie would be set at the present time since Indiana Jones was playing an older role already. But I guess the story really happened a long time ago during the golden times of discovery and adventures in archaelogy.
Cate Blanchett was looking hot with a Russian accent playing the role of the villain in this movie. Harrison Ford was showing his age – but still doing his thing.
Some scenes like the one with the refrigerator (see the movie) was unbelievable! Only happens in the movies! Ha ha ha
Overall, I would recommend this for the big screen. Go out and watch it.
By the way, the crystal skull is true. Scientist could not explain how it would possible for that time to create something as perfect as the crystal skull. Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_skull
