Ok everyone, here’s a simple entry that took me a good hour to write. I did some research to find the information and clips to give you guys enough reference to post some judgments. This post aims to highlight the different versions of our all time favorite green guy – The Hulk! Check out the posts below and let me know your thoughts:
Incredible Hulk (Coming Soon – 2008) – Edward Norton
I’m psyched to see this movie! In my opinion, Edward Norton is perfect to play this role. You can picture him as Bruce Banner. I sense the same feeling of agreement when Christian Bale played the new Batman. Also, Edward Norton has played quite a few roles that deal with having a double life. Its just perfect. Now the trailer is hot! It gives you a good idea of what to expect. This time, I’m pretty sure they took careful notice of the Hulk’s wardrobe, if you know what I mean. The transformation to Hulk in this trailer is more dramatic – I like it. The damage, the movement that this new Hulk is doing is amazing! Woohooo! Go Hulk!
Hulk (2003) – Eric Bana, Ang Lee
Now this was the first movie to come out. I’m not sure if the old Hulk TV series ended up doing a movie – let me know ok? Anyway, after seeing the trailer again – I remember why I got so psyched up to see this in the big screen. But I remember leaving the movie house with mixed emotions – trying to judge it fairly coz it did show some rocking scenes and struggling to the get rid of that spandex image in my head (I’m sure you agree, it was funny). I think Jenifer Conelly was hot in this movie, she always is. But Eric Bana, hmmm… I think he did an OK job, but judging from the trailer, the “You’re making me angry” famous line – hihihi. Oh, and Ang Lee did the motion capture thing to play the Hulk – I guess he rocked it. BUT no matter how good you are, anyone will still look a bit silly in purple spandex.
The First Hulk (TV SHow)
This clip is an episode from the TV Show. Judging by the hairstyle and clothes – this is ancient! But it still brings back memories, don’t you think? Its also amazing how entertaining this used to be. I say that because we sort of have higher standards now especially with developments in 3D technology. Lou Ferirgno kicked ass – he was scary. And it was cool that he did a cameo in the 2003 movie. I wonder… for the 2008 upcoming movie. That will still be neat.
Classic Cartoon Hulk (19-whatever)
The video below is the cartoon version of the Hulk. It will feature the origin. Listen to the theme at the beginning, if it puts a smile in your face, it only goes to show that you were very young when you first started to watch this. Hahaha, cartoons have gone a long way since this one.
Scary Hulk
I found this one while researching for Hulk clips – HAHAHAHA. Check it out.
I’m still excited to see the new one coming out. How about you? What are your thoughts?
