First of all, I WANNA LEARN HOW TO COUNT CARDS! Thing is, you need to have a “beautiful mind” before you can do this. Just imagine hitting the Casinos and chilling in their most expensive suites. Oooh and the PARTIES! Now that’s a skill that pays off quick.
The movie was based on a book by Ben Mezrich – Bringing Down the House
Quick trivia – If it was based on a book, why not name it “Bringing Down the House”… Answer: There’s already a movie with that name. I think it was the one with Steve Martin and Queen Latifah.
Anyway, back to the movie. I would like to think that I would also stop at it when I reach my goal – but you know what, its like beer, I always tell myself to stop after 3-4 bottles but when I get pass that – I simply stop counting.
I recommend this movie and give it a rating of “I can watch this again”.
Will I buy a DVD? Probably yes. It won’t teach you how to count cards but you can probably extract some tips. I like the first display of math logic in the movie where Kevin Spacey was teaching in the class and was making a point by replicating a game show to demonstrate how a logical thinker can get a higher probability of winning. Watch to movie to see what I’m talking about.
