So where do you run to if you just woke up hungry and can’t decide what to have for breakfast? First thing you do is google brunch buffet in makati and you’ll probabaly hit a few blogs talking about BFast, located at ayala triangle.

For 288 bucks, let them surprise you with what their brunch specials for the day. Today was surprisingly good, nilaga for soup, paella, bagoong fried rice, longga burger, 2 kinda of longga pasta, kick ass omelette and many more. Comes with refillable iced tea.

Monster rating: Sulit.

Oh and the place boasts of being green, recycled materials and all. Nice.

It’s pure evil. If you love living on the edge then head on to Mamou’s at Serendra, the Fort. This is serious food for serious foodies. Hahaha. I wasn’t able to finish it. I tried. Seriously. Food looks like it was photoshoped.

I think in my previous post I forgot to mention where the hell is dillingers. Its on the 3rd floor of Greenbelt 3 Makati. You’ll pass by yakimix and red box on your way there.

Anyway, if I get drunk at dillingers, first choice will probably still be the steak. But if i spent too much already on booze, this western bacon cheeseburger can satisfy any food trip you’ll probably have after a full nigt of dwinking. It has onion rings and the western flavor is mighty good.

I just realized that our food adventures are now dictated by the best deals we find online. I’m not complaining but just a few months ago, we only looked at blogs to spot the next mouthwatering adventure. Now, we look at both… Do they have a deal online and what are the reviews.

Anyway, back to what you really want to read about, the black angus ribeye steak. For 700 bucks, this is one of the most affordable steaks out there. It was huge! How was it? Hmmmm, HP sauce made it all work. First bite, quite good. Second bite, needs more sauce. 5th bite onwards I just got tired of eating it. Hahaha. It’s decent but not memorable.

You know those epic meals that you still remember how it tastes a few hours after? Where a burp brings back the goodness? Burp! This steak unfortunately didn’t make it for me.

It’s no secret that the classic buffalo wings works best with tabasco. So imagine using that special mix of tabasco and butter and putting it on a burger. Yummy!

Wingman at the collective, malugay makati is starting to make waves because of their classic buffalo wings. They also serve it in different flavors which makes every visit exciting.

Back to my burger, the burger pattie is unique so I’m assuming that it’s homemade. It’s like a meatball recipe was used for a burger. Sarap tsong! And the buffalo wings sauce brought it to the next level. This gets a must try in my burger bucket list – check!

This place along C. Palanca used to be a bakeshop. I remember the first time I saw that bakeshop and I just felt that it was doomed to fail.  To be honest, I was actually waiting for it to close down so I can jump in and do my own thing because the location and layout was perfect. It was elevated and I imagined it would be perfect for drinking.

Anyway, I do recall that bakeshop evolving and serving up beer but I guess it was too late.

Now a new place opened up in the same space, the plantation. I’ve read some posts and check-ins on facebook about them and I think they hit the sweet spot. Good food, nice interiors, its a great place to hang out. We were there for lunch to check it out. The menu of dishes are great, pinoy na pinoy. As usual, there are dishes marked as chef’s favorite, recommends, and to my delight a spicy icon which meant that it was a dish from bicol. My dad is from bicol so I grew up loving bicolano food.

We ordered the the pinangat and I totally crushed the sili on top of it. Yummy! That was the highlight. Anyway, also had adobo flakes coz they were out of bicol longganiza which was the first time heard about it. Adobo flakes was good. Serving size matches my size. Hehe. I also heard that the chorizo sampler was good so I have to come back for that.

They have tapa, adobo, scrambled eggs, pasta, pancakes, muffins, cereals, bangus and a whole lot more. Set aside 400 bucks for it but if you need to nurse a hang over with lots of food, this rocks! Great tasting garlic rice, always ranks high in my book!

Anyway, when we were there they had a smooth dude with an acoustic guitar just singing steady songs. Fits the breakfast crowd.

If you need to do a breakfast meeting, this place is perfect.

Oh and if you decide to get some pasta, tell them to take it easy on the sauce.

My monster combo: tapa, bangus, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, sauce of the adobo and GARLIC RICE!

It’s ginormous! One big chunk of meat. All meat and probably some finely chopped onions.

I like it coz it feels like home. Big serving, lotsa meat.  I wish they gave me more gravy. Didn’t bother to ask.

Anyway, it’s 275 pesos. A bit pricey.
